I Did What I Said I Would. Here's What's Next.

One chapter is closed. The next one is being built in AI, in public, with the same code that built everything before it.

Craig Cecilio · The Relentless Builder

For thirty years, I made a promise and kept it.

I said I'd build. I built. I said I'd raise. I raised. I said I'd carry the weight for the people who trusted me. I carried it.

That chapter is closed.

And the first thing I noticed when it closed wasn't relief. It was the question every builder eventually faces: what now?

Why AI, and why now

I've been early before. It's expensive. You spend years explaining something that everyone later calls obvious.

I'm choosing to be early again.

AI as a feature is already past tense. Within a year, it's infrastructure. The way companies run, decide, and grow is about to be rebuilt from the ground up, and most owners running $5M to $50M companies are going to be left to figure it out alone.

I've spent my career in rooms where capital, operations, and growth collide. I know what it costs when the systems don't keep up with the ambition. That's exactly the gap I'm building into.

What I'm building

I'm building an AI platform. It launches next year.

I'm not going to say much more about it yet, because I'd rather show you than tell you. But I'll tell you what it's built on: the belief that operators shouldn't have to become AI engineers to compete, and that the real problem isn't the tools. It's the infrastructure underneath them.

Right now, the work looks like long days. A 6 a.m. start. Hours with my Chief AI Officer interviewing team members and building workflows. Mornings on LinkedIn finding the next lieutenant.

It's the most fun I've had in years.

Why I'm doing it in public

Most people show you the highlight reel after it's over.

I'm going to show you the whole road while I'm on it. The wins, the mistakes, the hires that work and the ones that don't. What I'm learning about AI inside a real company, as I learn it.

Two reasons.

First, because the operators I respect most are figuring this out right now, and none of us should be doing it alone.

Second, because it keeps me honest. When you build in public, your word is on the record every single day.

What hasn't changed

The arena is new. The code isn't.

Tell the truth about money. Do what you said. Carry your own weight. No performative anything. Train the body and the mind, at any age. Defend your position from belief, not fear.

That code built everything in the last chapter. It's building this one too.
